Meade LXD55 SC8
Details:
90 x 30 sec exposures
ISO1600

Comments:

The Eta Carinae nebula is so large that I was only able to capture a section of it in this picture. Once I have a focal reducer, I will try this one again.

  M42 Orion Nebula
Probably one of the best known, and largest diffuse nebula.
Date:
3 February 2005
Camera:
Canon 300D
Telescope:
Meade LXD55 SC8
Details:
3 x 15 sec exposures
ISO1600
Prime focus?
Processing:
Stacked with Lynkeos
Post processing with Photoshop
Comments:
This was one of the first things I photographed when I purchased the LXD55 telescope. It was before I had developed any sort of photographic proceedure, or read anything about astro photography. This explains the underwhelming nature of this image. I plan to replace it with a better image soon.
